TorqueMaster® Safety Counterbalance
A sealed tube with the springs safely hidden inside.
Your opener uses the energy of a spring wound very tightly (called a counterbalance) to help lift your door's weight. The Wayne-Dalton TorqueMaster® is the first counterbalance to seal springs safely within a steel tube. This design helps prevent the accidental release of tension that could cause serious injury. Plus it looks much better and cleaner.
The TorqueMaster® counterbalance does not come standard with all Wayne-Dalton garage doors, so make sure you ask your dealer or retailer to include TorqueMaster® with your purchase. Considering how many years your new garage door will last, you'll be glad (and safer) that you did.
Pinch-resistant Door Panels
Our pinch-resistant design actually pushes fingers out of harms way. The Wayne-Dalton pinch-resistant garage door design is engineered to help eliminate injuries caused when fingers are caught in door panel joints during downward operation. This is an important feature to Wayne-Dalton doors, as there can be significant injuries associated with standard garage door operation. Wayne-Dalton developed the first integrated pinch-resistant door design in the industry.
Polyurethane Foamed-in-place Insulation
Insulated garage doors use "R-values" to rate their ability to resist the flow of heat. The higher the R-value rating of a door, the better its ability to block heat flow. Insulation is important to your family's comfort if you have living areas above or adjoining your garage. That means less heat loss in winter (or gained in summer) and lower energy consumption. Our doors also have a flexible bottom seal to prevent infiltration of air or elements into your garage.
Our Model 9100 garage doors have an R-value of 8. The doors are manufactured with polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation using a patented process. Polyurethane insulation delivers twice the thermal performance of polystyrene insulation of the same thickness! It also adds strength and rigidity to the door panels and helps dampen sound transmission.
Decorative Hardware
Optional trim hardware is made from rust-resistant galvanized steel with black powder coating and pebble texture. Kit includes four hinge straps and two pull handles.
Bottom Weather Seal
The Model 8300 has a bottom weather seal. The bottom weather seal blocks drafts and helps save energy. It remains flexible even in extreme cold to keep the bad weather outside.

The Model 9100 comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
Wayne-Dalton warrants the 9100 insulated garage door for as long as you own the door from the time of installation against structural failure (rendering the door inoperable) of the door sections due to separation/ degradation of foam insulation. Wayne-Dalton warrants the steel skin of the 9100 insulated garage door for as long as you own the door against deterioration such as cracking or splitting due to rust-through. Wayne-Dalton warrants the garage door hardware and track, excluding springs, for as long as you own the door against defects in workmanship or material from time of installation.
