TorqueMaster® Safety Counterbalance
A sealed tube with the springs safely hidden inside.
Your opener uses the energy of a spring wound very tightly (called a counterbalance) to help lift your door's weight. The Wayne-Dalton TorqueMaster® is the first counterbalance to seal springs safely within a steel tube. This design helps prevent the accidental release of tension that could cause serious injury. Plus it looks much better and cleaner.
The TorqueMaster® counterbalance does not come standard with all Wayne-Dalton garage doors, so make sure you ask your dealer or retailer to include TorqueMaster® with your purchase. Considering how many years your new garage door will last, you'll be glad (and safer) that you did.
Bottom Weather Seal
The Models 8000/8100 have a bottom weather seal. The bottom weather seal blocks drafts and helps save energy. It remains flexible even in extreme cold to keep the bad weather outside.
